Artist Statement
I have always enjoyed all that the outdoors and nature has had to offer. I have been especially drawn to the forests. The wonderment of the smallest acorns to the moss patched forest floor beds to the soaring tree tops. As a child I have always loved the lore around mother nature and I was inspired by the timelessness of tales of women and the connection to nature in relation to trees. Often I have included feminine figures in my two dimensional work, I have tried something new in creating 3D art inspired by the mother tree. This work is created using scrap wood, left over Styrofoam, twigs, and parts of a plastic bottle to create the form, it has been finished with plaster and acrylic paint.

Artist Bio
Kristina Bolduc works from Fairfield, Vermont. She is a multidisciplinary artist and in her current practice creates through painting, printmaking, charcoal, drawing, and mixed media. She is inspired by natural elements and the human form. She explores and uses imagery from the forests and outdoor spaces she finds herself in.

Spending time in Vermont’s great outdoors with her family keeps ideas flowing through her studio spaces.

She received a B.A. in Fine Arts from Purdue University, focusing on Printmaking and Painting and a Masters of Fine Arts in Visual Art from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
