Christine Pratt, weaver

Growing up in Vermont, I learned to sew in 4-H.  This led to my fascination with fabrics.  A weaving course at UVM started me on my career.  I have been weaving and selling my work ever since.  After teaching textiles for 30 years at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, I retired to Vermont.  I love weaving fulltime and am inspired by the colors of the Vermont landscape, producing shawls, scarves, tea towels, placemats, baby blankets, bags, and rugs in a wide range of colors and styles.
