On behalf of the 802 Arts House board I am writing to tell you about our new organization and invite you to join us as an Affiliate Gallery member.
802 Arts House picks up where Vermont Hand Crafters ended, with their announcement this past fall to dissolve the organization. 802 Arts House began as a group of thirty plus Vermont Hand Crafter members who came together to figure out how to save Vermont Hand Crafters. Out of this group, six members stepped up to form the new board of 802 Arts House; Ellen Thompson, President, Dee Christie, Vice President, Zoie Parent, Treasurer, Gary Walz, Secretary, Jim Holzschuh, Jury Chair and Alyson Chase, Affiliate Chair. All of the current Vermont Hand Crafter members have been invited to join 802 Arts House.
We will be a similar organization as Vermont Hand Crafters with a few changes that include our new name, new energy, and a positive vision for our future. We are continuing the Affiliate Gallery program that Vermont Hand Crafters offered but with a fresh coat of paint! Becoming an Affiliate Gallery is mutually beneficial to both your gallery and 802 Arts House.

As an Affiliate Member 802 Arts House offers your gallery-
- Promotion of your organization through newsletter, 6-8 times per year
- News articles
- Gallery events
- Graphic logo placement for your gallery on 802arts.org
- Highlight gallery
- Promotional display for your gallery at 802 Arts House events
- Promotion of your gallery through our social media accounts
- Graphic representation of your gallery on 802 Arts House website
- Opportunities to collaborate on mutual events
- Connect 802 Arts members with your gallery
- 802 Arts House will provide our graphic information to you for your promotional needs
Here’s what we would like from you in return-
- 20% of your gallery members will be 802 Art House members in order to qualify as an affiliate gallery
- Refer potential new members to 802 Arts House for membership
- Promotion of 802 Arts House organization through website, social media, signage, media
- Identification of individual 802 Arts House members artwork
- Collaboration on mutual events – Such as: statewide open gallery events, marketing of events, creating and producing events
- Meet with 802 Arts House Board at least 1-2 times a year to discuss strategies to promote both organizations
